Are your staff working remotely?

Some employees enjoy working remotely but it’s not for everyone and it’s now becoming the norm. Are your staff working remotely?

A recent survey has shown that businesses do not have the correct cyber security measures in place for remote workers.

The result highlighted the issue when originally looking into spending plans from now into the new year.

It’s a worrying discovery.

Malware, ransomware, and data breaches have raised since the start of the pandemic.

The panic opened the door for cyber criminals to take advantage and have since tweaked their tactics.

The issue is costing businesses billions worldwide with additional downtime.

Two thirds of businesses have shown to have good web security measures such as malware filters for staff working remotely. However, other results were disappointing.

Only half of companies have cloud-based cyber security systems, with 15% exploring options.

What does Cloud security do?

Cloud security provides businesses with multiple layers of protection across their infrastructure, network, and assists on better data protection management. This can help against breaches or attacks.

It’s a good defence and identifies threats prior to becoming an issue.

10% of businesses plan to implement access management which lowers the risks, and ensures the appropriate people have access.

9% look to prioritise VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) to provide secure network for those working remotely.

Zero-trust solutions – Network assumes every device or connection is a threat, unless shown otherwise.

These security measures should already be in place, especially if you have remote workers.

If you don’t have any in place, pick up the phone and give us a call or send us an email.
