The awards ceremony, which took place at the Celtic Manor Resort, Newport on 9th November, celebrated the dynamic approach to training and skills development by employers and learning providers across Wales.
Over 30 finalists were shortlisted for a variety of awards, including the category of Small Employer of the Year, which ultimately went to Pisys.net.
Steve Bain, a director at the IT firm, said, "IT is an ever-changing marketplace and we continually strive to train and update the skills of our staff to ensure the services we offer are the best they can be and to win the award is recognition of the hard work of our fantastic team."
The awards showcase the outstanding achievements of learners, employers and work-based learning practitioners who have excelled in contributing to the development of the Welsh Government’s Traineeships and Apprenticeship programmes, an area of Pisys.net that has been key the development of the business.
"We work closely with Swansea iTec to develop apprentices and have always found this approach to be the best way both from a recruitment point of view but also as a reliable means to develop the skills of new staff," said John Merrick, director at Pisys.net.
The award comes at an exciting time for the Swansea based business as they seek to rapidly grow the business in 2019, and build on the existing sites they have throughout the UK.
