Leading IT firm Pisys.net are launching a new service to business clients – online IT training.
The UK-wide business, that has its head office in Swansea, has partnered with a specialist Microsoft training partner to offer clients a fast, bite-sized approach to IT learning that is available through an online portal.
Steve Bain, Director at Pisys.net commented ’’Microsoft IT applications are arguably the most used in the workplace. From Word and Excel to PowerPoint and Outlook, understanding how to get the most from each application can make a noticeable improvement to productivity and workplace efficiency’’.
With rapid improvements in technology, IT learning is essential if businesses are to get the most from the software they are investing in however finding a learning method that is engaging, flexible and cost effective has proved illusive – until now.
Jo-Ann Miles, Sales Director at Pisys.net commented ’’Training can often be impersonal with a one-sized fits all approach however our online training is accessible on any internet enabled device and takes the form of 5-7 minute bite-sized ’’chunks’’ to improve the learners knowledge in a fast, visual and enjoyable learning manner’’.
With training across all Microsoft applications from 2007 upwards, the modular approach has been designed to be concise yet engaging enabling learners to access training flexibly and maximise return on investment.
A 60 second screening process uses adaptive technology to remove content that’s not applicable to the learner’s role or aspirations and provides recommendations to get learners to be productive as quickly as possible.
John Merrick, Director at Pisys.net commented ’’The screening process strips away topics that are irrelevant to the leaners current role or a role they are working towards. It also removes any content that the learner already knows leaving behind a course that is specific to the individuals needs rather than a generic ’’off the shelf’’ approach’’.
The system will also benefit HR and Training Managers as they can monitor a learner’s progress as an individual, department or whole office at a glance and can be used proactively as part of any CPD programme.
