The Scottish Government has recently announced the publication of the Public Sector Action Plan on Cyber Resilience.

The Scottish Government has recently announced the publicationĀ of the Public Sector Action Plan on Cyber Resilience, which has been developed in partnership by the Scottish Government and the National Cyber Resilience Leadersā€™ Board. The final version of the plan will also be disseminated to all public bodies with an accompanying letter from the Deputy First Minister John Swinney.

The announcement coincides with the Deputy First Minister speaking at the CBI Cyber Conference in Edinburgh , as well as the two year anniversary of the publication of Safe, Secure and Prosperous: a Cyber Resilience Strategy for Scotland and Resilience Week.

The Public Sector Action Plan, intends to ensure our public bodies can manage the increased cyber threat and, over time, become models of cyber resilience.Ā  It encourages all Scottish public bodies to implement common baseline cyber security standards in their organisations, including requirements to ensure robust cyber governance arrangements, active threat intelligence sharing, clear cyber incident response protocols, and appropriate independent assurance ensuring protections are in place against the most common forms of cyber-attack.

Once realised, it would make Scotland the first UK nation to have achieved these baseline standards across all of its public bodies. is accredited to deliver Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials PlusĀ  in Scotland and the rest of the UK and we look forward to working with our partners and clients to further improve cyber resilience in the public and private sectors.
